He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and is known for symbolic and mystical themes, earning him several prestigious awards, which included the Prix des Muses in 1930 and the Prix Carnegie in 1938. His contributions to the arts extend beyond the canvas; he also illustrated books and designed sets for theatre productions. He passed away on March 30, 1992, leaving behind a legacy of artistic excellence and innovation.
