Built in c.1880 as a small chest (called tansu) as either an artist chest, jewelry chest, merchant chest or a small utility (storage chest). Currently used as a chest for storage of pens (in top small storage area) and business cards and credit cards in one of the draws. Chest can also just be used as decorative piece in any room of the house. The top opens to a small storage area and there are three draws. No keys provided but all draws are open.
No improvements have been made and all material, wood and metal, are original.
