Andres, born in 1905 in Germany, began his photography career in 1920 and was one of the pioneers to use a Leica camera. His work is featured in several prestigious museums, including the Civil War Museum in Salamanca, Spain, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Industrial Museum in Oberhausen, Germany.
