A fine original oil on canvas by listed American artist Cecil Chinchester.
A country road in the fall.
Canvas dimensions 20" wide x 16" high. The frame measures 30" wide x 25" high.
The period frame is very heavy. We think the painting looks great in this frame, but the frame could be easily changed out with a more contemporary one.
The painting shows a few minor scuff marks and spots of paint loss. Please review all images.
Signed and titled verso on the stretcher.

Cecil Chichester was a landscape artist and illustrator.
He was an instructor at the Art Students League of New York and the Woodstock School of Painting. He was a prominent member of the Woodstock Art Colony and his works are in several New York collections as well as the White House.
This is a fine opportunity to acquire an original painting by this American artist. less
