It is akin to a modern take on Victorian maximalism with a bamboo frame held upright by two ceramic rabbits, accented by madras style patchwork fabric embellished with buttons and topped off with hand painted wooden birds, fringed beading and ceramic vase shaped finials. There is a lot going on here and it is all fabulous! The other unique aspect of this screen is that the back side features a world map and the rabbits can be re-positioned so that the map is the front view...you can change it out seasonally...just for fun. The finials and rabbits are all hallmarked and the buttons feature the MacKenzie Childs symbol.

The screen is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear. The ceramic rabbits and finials are in good condition...no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. One of the ceramic finals has stripped hardware but sits safely in place nonetheless. Some beading is missing which can be seen in photograph 3. Some birds have minor paint loss which can be seen in photograph 4. The bird perched below the beading is missing a leg but is stable. In addition, the screen originally had a black satin ribbon woven through the bamboo above the fabric which was removed by the owner.

The screen measures a total footprint of 40" wide x 36.25" tall x 11" deep...includes rabbits, birds, etc. For shipping purposes, the rabbits, finials and birds will be removed and packed separately requiring reassembly upon receipt. less
