Six Italian regency painted walnut shell back dining chairs made in the Venetian grotto style. These chairs feature detailed carvings on both the shell pattern and saber legs. Painted finish walnut frame hand-carved with a dramatic scalloped shell motif back. Fabric upholstery is a jacquard velvet with a unique burnt-out appearance and an abstract, textural design.
