The clenched … more This Figa pendant is made from solid 18k gold, adorned with blue enamel and two single cut diamonds. The clenched fist with a thumb extended between two fingers is a symbol for femininity in many cultures. Most notoriously, the Figa is worn as a good luck talisman in Brazil. It is said to store up luck and offer protection from the Evil Eye. The tradition dates back to the Etruscan Era, where Figa was symbolic of female genitalia.

The pendant weighs 12.3 grams, and has a heavy weight to it that feels great to hold. The solid and substantial nature of the piece make it a powerful talisman. The hand has wonderful definition, and the sleeve is carved with a repeating fleur-de-lys pattern. A band of cobalt blue enamel adds a striking contrast against the gold, and two single cut diamonds bring sparkle to the sleeve. The pendant has a nice rounded top that connects to an oversized bail.

The pendant measure 2 5/8” x 1/2” x 3/8” (not including the 7.6 mm round bail). The single cut diamonds measure 1.5 mm each. The pendant looks great with other charms but is also substantial enough to be worn alone. Unmarked but acid tests as 14k gold. less
