Each lamp features a captivating silver-tone putti joyously astride a fish serpent. The putti's left hand firmly grips the serpent’s head while his right hand clasps its intricately twisted tail. His thick, wavy hair beautifully frames an angelic face, highlighted by a mischievous smile.
Below, an antique Bohemian cranberry red hand-cut crystal elliptical orb creates a vibrant contrast against the lamp's silver tones. This orb is embellished with a captivating array of crosshatched and circular patterns that catch and refract light beautifully.
Supporting the crystal orb is a long, slender fluted neoclassical metal column that stands on a square block of black marble with a delicate white veined pattern. Beneath the marble a matching silver-tone metal platform with four short legs provides a polished finish.
At the top of the lamp, four amber crystal icicle prisms elegantly dangle from a scrolled decorative metal bobeche, catching the light from the warm glow of the milk glass lamp shade that is adorned with a subtle waffle texture.
This stunning pair of torchiere lamps, uniquely crafted from a harmonious blend of antique crystal, vintage metal, brass, milk glass, and marble, serves not only as a functional light source but also as a sculptural work of art. The interplay of contrasting colors, graceful curves, and linear shapes, along with the diverse materials used, allows these lamps to seamlessly integrate into a variety of interior design schemes. less
