The table features a 7 foot round top supported by a massive pedestal base ending with empire style claw feet. The top showcases gorgeous walnut woodgrain veneers with dark banding to accentuate the border. Finished in a warm honey toned stain with parcel gilt highlights on the pedestal. Made in the neoclassical taste with a round column style support decorated with carved acanthus designs. The wood finish has an intentionally aged patina. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table measures over 25 inches from the floor to the apron. Impressive quality and scale from an estate in the Napa Valley, CA. Could also serve as a center table.
