The original gold paint has been supplemented with an antique gold spray paint. The pull chain socket appears to be original but the wiring has been updated (it works perfectly).

A great lamp for creating an elegant, long-past atmosphere. The hand-blown art glass shade has a quilted finish and a cranberry-colored ruffled edge. NOTE: there is no flared, normal lip on the shade. It's held in position by the three screws on the metal fitter, which one tightens equally by hand. Once the light bulb is installed, (any bulb, including a 60-watt "appliance bulb," that won't physically pass through the opening of the shade) should the shade get loose it will be held by the bulb until you put it back in position and re-tighten the screws. Or, you can ask me to epoxy-glue the 2 1/4" metal fitter onto the shade, which I'll be happy to do before sending it to you.

The porcelain roses have minimal damage considering their fragility. There are several "petals" that have been chipped, but it's hard to notice without a very close inspection.

This lamp would serve nicely as a reading-in-bed lamp on a bedside table. Or... anywhere some atmosphere is desired!

The lamp's about 18 1/2 high and the base is 5 1/2 across, including the feet. The shade measures about 4 3/4 wide and 3 inches deep. less
