This vintage tropical painting features three parrots perched on a branch, crafted with thick, textured impasto strokes using acrylic on canvas. The central parrot, with striking blue and golden-yellow feathers, stands between two other parrots, one similarly colored and the other a vibrant red with blue accents. The heavy texture of the paint brings a three-dimensional quality to the feathers and branch, making the birds appear almost lifelike. The background is subtly muted, allowing the bright colors of the parrots to stand out. The painting is framed in a gold-toned bamboo-style frame, enhancing its tropical aesthetic and vintage charm. Frank Walcutt was born in West Berlin, Germany in 1951. He came to Joliet, Illinois as a young boy and studied psychology at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Psychology did not hold his interest long. He experienced America on the road, and it was during his wanderlust phase that he found art.
