Circa 1910 8" Emerson type 11644 ornate base desk fan. This model has become desirable among collectors and decorators due to its unique design, high-quality craftsmanship, rarity, and historical significance (it's Emerson’s second 8" model offered). This example is stunning! The brass blade and guard are in excellent condition with beautiful original patina. The fan has been fully restored featuring new paint that shows off the intricate details of the ornate base as well the innovative integration of the motor and trunnion. The neck has been repaired; however, the repair does not impact its functionality – the fan runs perfectly and quiet. It has been cleaned and fully serviced. The wiring has been upgraded to period correct domestically produced wire. This is a rare and beautiful little early Emerson.
