Atomic Modern Mid Century Modern Phone Stand 1950s Googie Iron Metal Telephone Table Duchin Galef Style.
Here is an iconic metal telephone stand that was all the rage in the fifties! Back in the days, Long before cell phones, the 'modern' telephone became more portable by using a long cord. Stands like this one were utilized to place the phone next to a lounge chair.
The stand features a space under the top to be used for an address book - or letters. They often were also used to hold magazines or newspapers on the lowest tier.
Today, it works great as a place to always find your smart phone or tablet. It's lightweight and durable and can be moved around as needed.
The thin legs give it a light and almost floating appearance. Great practicality as well as wonderful style! A really fantastic design! Light tarnish to metal surfaces. Some paint loss, Functions great after over half a century!
One of the best we have come across!!!!
Perforated metal stand in the style of Richard Galef's Ravenware telephone stand.
