Fortnum and Mason is famous for the containers in which their products are stored. This piece is very unusual and we are not sure how old it is. It is marked on the bottom and is reminiscent of Deruta pottery made in Italy.
A bit chinoiserie in style, it features a dragon motif and the lid and knob are geometric… all hand painted.
This is a wonderful piece to add to a kitchen display.
