Carla’s arresting Humpty Dumpty is a two-faced egg adorned with decorative botanicals. Her portrait recalls the magic, charm, and unease of Alice’s encounter with Humpty who does not realize he is a character in a children’s nursery rhyme and is surprised that Alice seemingly knows all about him. While we never see Humpty fall, we're all too familiar with the rest of the nursery rhyme and his precarious position on the wall.
