These ancient circular vases rest on a square base adorned with geometric grooves, which was added later to the original vase.
Like most Italian liturgical altar furnishings, the rear part of the vases is not decorated, their original location was in fact on a side altar leaning against the wall and therefore not visible from the back but only from the front by the faithful.
The general state of conservation is good, with signs of wear compatible with the early 19th century dating and a restoration on one arm. They come from a private collection.
They can become two splendid bases for antique Empire style lamps. less
