The artwork / hand painted scenes … more Exquisite large scale porcelain Guangxu period vase in a traditional Fengweizun or Yen-Yen form. The artwork / hand painted scenes throughout are very finely executed in rich colourful enamels, the body with medallions portraying bamboo, peonies, and other flowering plants and trees (one panel with a very expressive blackbird perching on a spiky lotus leaf eyeing the lotus pond below).
All over a white glaze background. The remaining body with repeating flowers over meticulous fine black scroll work.
No markings. A very fine piece from the period.
Excellent condition exhibiting typical firing flaws.
Circa 1890.
