This beautiful lion rampant is hand-carved on a crystal field by the renowned engraver Glenn Belle-Isle, dating back to the early 1950s. The hand-cut motif of the lion rampant adorns an apothecary jar with a glass lid, and the engraved signature can be found on the bottom right of the design.

Glenn Belle-Isle was the only freelance glass engraver in America during the 1940s. While pursuing his intricate and highly skilled craft as a freelance engraver, he also taught classes at the Chicago Art Institute during the same period. The jar measures 10" high by 4.25" in diameter. less
