Although Teichert was located in the city of Meissen this is not the same Meissen porcelain factory that used the blue crossed swords mark. Ernst Teichert was the brother of Carl Teichert. He established is own independent porcelain factory in 1884, his son Christian taking over the factory and business over the next three decades and in 1930 established the Teichertwerke Meissen Group. This set dates to the earlier 1900's and has a thick blue arrow mark on the back which was made by "Colln Meissen 2"
As there were a number of companies that produced the Blue Onion pattern, these can be used with other Meissen services. less
