Forward-looking architect Walter Lamb is best known for his revolutionary and widely loved patio furniture. In the 1940s, he salvaged metal tubing from sunken ships in Pearl Harbor to create alluring chaise lounges and other pieces for the backyard. His vintage furniture designs have been adorning patios worldwide for almost a century. This unusual, early-production chaise by Walter Lamb for Brown Jordan dates from the 1950s.and has a rich patina.
Walter Lamb designed the S-Lounge patio chair for Brown Jordan. The chair's namesake armrest draws a serpentine curve from the backrest to the front edge. The lounge chairs are unmarked. less
