The Tortoiseshell tea caddy is of rectangular form with a rectangular body and is raised on its original ball feet.
The interior of the tea caddy contains a green velvet fabric lining the lid and two lidded compartments with ivory knobs. The two compartments show traces of the original silver foil lining. The steel hinges, key plate and unmarked name plate on the cover are all original.
Dimensions: 5 1/2 inches high x 7 inches wide x 4 3/4 inches.
