Even with her head on fire, this classical nude, erect midst a maelstrom, conveys resilient strength even as the artist's marks around her emphasize the dynamic energy that threatens to engulf. Is it a familiar "Day Scene" as titled?
Well-respected painter and graphic artist Squeak Carnwath made this copper plate etching and acquatint in 1983 with Bruce Vellick Editions, printed by Teaberry Press, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This print comes within a black mat and walnut frame; exterior dimensions are 22.25 x 17.625". It is not under glass; use of glass is the owner's discretion.
