James was born in 1971, in Newmarket, north Cork, Ireland. In 1990 he moved to Cork City where he worked in film, music and theater, producing works that were presented and screened at film festivals and on national television. From these experiences grew his love of photography and illustration. Since 2006 James has exhibited widely in Europe and Asia. In 2011, he published his first photo book entitled “Border Country,” whose black and white photo for sale here. In November 2011, “Border Country” received the “Selected Title” award of the prestigious Deutscher Fotobuchpreis 2012. The sequel to “Border Country,” titled “After Place 1: Südgelände,” was published in 2012. See less
