This exquisite antique carpet has a magical presence provided by ornate designs that combine tribal details and classical themes. Thick, heavily stylized flowers meander around the field and link the distant pendants and bold medallion. Dense clouds of iconography fill the parchment-colored frame that embraces the deep oceanic field, which is enhanced by waves of abrashed color. Endless rows of tribal motifs line this dramatic intersection while complementing the neighboring eye motifs, stars and fetter symbols.
