All of our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step in cleaning is to thoroughly beat the rug to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH-neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the rug is washed thoroughly and wet by hand - a special soap protects the fibers and preserves the natural wool grease of the carpet. The rugs are first dewatered by mechanical pressing and spinning, so that the rugs are then left to hang and dry in constant circulating air. less
