An Impressionist drypoint etching on cream wove paper titled “Femme Nue Couchee (Tournee a Droitte)” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Unsigned. Circa 1906. Catalogue Raisonne: Delteil 14; Stella 14 Printing/Casting: Ambroise Vollard. The composition features a timeless reclining female nude. An opportunity to own an original etching from one of the most well-known Impressionist artists. From a private collection. Dimensions: 15”h x 20.5”w x 1.75”d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. As a celebrator of beauty and especially feminine sensuality, it has been said that Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau.
