Design by Charles & Ray Eames
In addition to creating famous pieces of furniture, Charles & Ray Eames also worked on the design of textiles. Bringing colours and shapes into harmony - that was Ray Eames ' metier. The "Dot Pattern" was designed in 1947 for an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is made up of crosses and circles that create an overall picture that is both geometric and organic.

Vitra has its high-quality Eames Wool Blanket manufactured in a German blanket factory that already has over 100 years of experience in the processing of natural fibres. This guarantees the perfect quality of the Eames Wool Blanket. The Eames Wool Blanket isbased on the so-called Jacquard weaving technique, which means that the front and back are each dyed in a contrasting colour - for example, a mint-coloured pattern on a petrol-coloured background on the front and a petrol-coloured pattern on a mint-coloured background on the back. The first shearing of the merino lamb is used , which makes thewool blanket particularly soft, light and fine.
