Real name Pierre Girre.
Pierre d'Avesn was a student of François Décorchemont at the School of Decorative Arts. He joined Lalique where he remained for 10 years. He worked at Daum between 1930 and 1936 where he developed the production of molded pressed glass in the Lorrain Nancy production department. Lorraine Nancy.
He joined the Verlys company in 1937 in the Holophane glass department at the Andelys glassworks. After 1945 we found him at the Cristallerie de Choisy le Roi where he reissued old models and created new ones. He remained there until his retirement in 1984.
