Exceptionally fabulous-looking Arts & Crafts Movement Moorish-style two-tier circular top accent table, handcrafted by Bailey Tables of Jamestown, New York. It is a tall striking table adorned by a six-part paneled apron with distinctive Moorish arches with a lovely all-around triangular and quadrangular geometric parquetry inlay complemented by six svelte outward curved saber legs which unite with a whimsical hexagonal-shaped gallery shelf. Crafted from solid cherry wood with a naturally aged wax finish that allows the natural beauty of the wood grain patterns to show through; triangular and quadrangular geometric inlay design is walnut wood. This beauty weighs 7 lbs. and measures as follows:

Overall: 30” x 14” x 14” H/W/D
Gallery shelf: 11 ½” x 11 ½” W/D (measured from point-to-point); clearance from lower apron to top of shelf 12”

In overall excellent condition with age-appropriate wear that a table of this age should have but in no way does it detract from its beauty. Wear includes some age spots to the tabletop (see photo 12) which we believe to be fading of the original stain finish. Since wood is an organic material, it shrinks across the grain with age so you will find there is an age-appropriate tension crack on the tabletop (see photo 12) and one indiscernible repaired hairline split to one of the lower legs and one of the apron panels (see photos 7 & 8). None of which affect its beauty, structural integrity or utility. There is a makers stamp and an incised number (#375) on the underside. The incised number indicates the shape of the table which helps date when the table was made, sometime between 1910 to 1915. Throughout the late 19th-century, Jamestown specialized in the manufacture of worsted cloth and wooden furniture and by 1911 it was second only to Grand Rapids as a furniture manufacturing center. Bailey Tables of Jamestown, New York (aka The Bailey-Jones Co.) was in business from early 1900 to 1928. In 1920, it employed close to 300 people. Note, vase is not included.

In the context of the Arts & Crafts Movement, this beauty would be classified a tabouret table which is a narrow and tall stand for a plant, lamp, ashtray or a beverage. The perfect accent table to add character and style to a corner space, entryway or long breezeway.
