- Regency wall mirror circa 1810-1820 with hand carved giltwood frame and convex butlers glass A very good looking and well … more Regency wall mirror circa 1810-1820 with hand carved giltwood frame and convex butlers glass A very good looking and well made piece, the frame is Regency period circa 1810, the glass is convex meaning its domed, these were used as butlers mirrors so you could see around corners and have a much wider scope, the are super collectable now a days Condition wise there are age and use related patina marks all over, the frame has lots of timber shrinkage splits, general wear and it would have originally had two small cables either side, the mounts are present but the holders not.
