the desk is a reproduction of the famous model 500/6 from the company jacob and josef kohn, made around the 2000s, which first appeared in their sales catalogs in 1907. The design for the piece is attributed to the austrian architect, designer and co-founder of the wiener werkstätte josef hoffmann and is dated to 1906.
this is the second famous desk by jacob & josef kohn after the model no. 3134 by koloman moser exhibited in turin in 1902.
