Edra Loveseat Sofa in Red Velvet--This is an Incredibly spectacular Spiral / Fibonacci Shaped Sofa!! This is a rare piece, an original Italian designer Edra Tatlin that is from a small production and not widely made. Unique and wonderful piece!
Designed as a stunning center place in the room, and loosely based on the Tatlin tower, emblem of Constructivism. A modern totem, perfect also for public spaces. It allows new possibilities of seating, offering room for more people. A true work of architecture. A real Edra icon.
No label present-- It was removed because it was in a film shoot, and the tag was distracting for the director---In image #11 you can see where the original tag was located on the piece, and in image #12, you can see small remnants of the original tag. We can also provide official proof of its authenticity, including vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources. When you look at the Edra website for the "Edra Tatlin" you will see this item. There are no copies being made of this piece, it is far too complex of a piece. General description:
Spiral sofa, freely inspired by the Tatlin tower,
whose wooden model is conserved at the
Beaubourg in Paris. A totem for living rooms
and public areas, which allows a new way
of sitting. The plywood base has metal feet.
The spiral, above all also with an inclination,
is in molded and profiled steel. The padding
is realized by hand with polyurethane foam.
It’s skillfully upholstered in velvet and, on
request, also in some other fabrics and
leathers of the collection.
It’s one of the icons par excellence of edra.
It is a real and true work of engineering art.
Use:
The sofa is a centerpiece which can be used
in small but also big spaces since it’s freely
accessible from all 4 sides.
The use of a single Tatlin is as interesting as
the setting of more Tatlin toghether. Beside
of being an item which makes the space in
which it’s placed as important, each single
Tatlin can be a seat for 8/10 people.

Here we are selling for much less, because it is pre-owned. You can take advantage of this and it can be used as it is in your space, or further reupholstered to perfect it or change the color.

Tatlin Tower
The "Third International Monument" by Vladmir Tatlin was designed shortly after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. Although this monument was never erected, it was conceived as a modernist steel. The building of the glass constructor would have said the height of the famous Eiffel Tower in France. The design of the Tatlin sofa was inspired by its iconic shape of the "tatlin tower" - its sculptural shape immediately becomes the center of every interior decoration in which it is placed. The cover is made of velvet, its inner spiral frame is the result of the exquisite technical design and the manufacture of molded stainless steel.
