One of the best illustrations realized by Paul Iribe for "Les Robes de Paul Poiret" in 1908, a well known fashion designer during the first two decades of the 20th century. The stencil is made of ink, paper, and paint, and features a woman in one of Paris dress designer Paul Poiret’s high waisted gowns. Paul Iribe (June 8, 1883-September 21, 1935) Famous French fashion illustrator, who collaborated with the pioneers in fashion like Paul Poiret, Coco Chanel & film maker Cecil DeMille. Iribe favored the liberal display of fluid forms, more in concordance with the design elements which were the hallmark of the Art Nouveau movement—poufs, lamé textiles; walls hung with tapestries, and carpeted floors.
