A pair of swedish Art Deco bookcase or cabinets by Carl Malmsten for SMF. The case is composed of highly figured golden flame birch wood with rosewood banding and inlays. Relief carved feet with ornate medallions. The original shelves are adjustable and removable. There is a locking cabinet with drop down door at the bottom of each piece covered in lively bookmatched birch wood, Sweden, 1930. Retains original keys. Unmarked.

Condition: Recently refinished. The drop down doors need to be pushed down at the hinge to close without catching the case. Missing one brass ring for the shelf pins.
