Signed Purvis Young, I bought the painting from Art Gallery Modern in West Palm Beach who bought out Modern Art Gallery in Micanopy, Florida when they went out of business who had bought it from Purvis Young.
On display at Brown Museum from then until now. Purvis Young is a well known artist in several museums, he is from Miami, Florida the overtown neighborhood called good bread alley. He took art inspiration from his surroundings. He started sketching at an early age and developed his talent while in prison for burglary. less
