Offered is a fine early 19th century molded metamorphic library ladder with brass fittings, crafted with tiny dowels that act as a pivot point for the six larger ladder slats to rotate and fold away into a small package. Finished in nail head trim leather with brass fittings at the tips. A small rotating hook at center allows the ladder to be carefully closed/locked in place and stored away when not in use.
