Perhaps you are familiar with this California visual artist. I was not, until I saw this whimsical piece and started to research it! The internet tells us that Flavia was born in 1929 and was a prolific artist and author from the early 1960's. Both her artwork and her books are often described as inspirational. This piece is sure to bring a smile to your face.
This item may catch your eye if you are a fan of William Shakespeare's, knowing that the phrase "the stuff of which dreams are made" refers to a line from his play, The Tempest; or if you are a fan of Humphrey Bogart, recalling that the line was used in The Maltese Falcon; or maybe you are a fan of Carly Simon and her song, The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of... and even if none of the above apply, most everyone can relate to the pleasure of a dream!
The first five photos were taken outside as daylight was fading to show the true color at its best; while the sixth photo was taken inside (pardon the reflection!). The seventh photo shows the brownish/bronzish metal frame, eight shows the artist's signature and the final photo shows an extreme close up of the most obvious yet minor scratch.
Painted on the glass in two corners are stylized dragonflies!

Very, very minor scratching at the bottom left corner, expected for an item that is 42 years old. less
