Made in Italy between 1920's and 1940's in French Rococo style, of fine quality craftsmanship! Carvings are done in subdued gold, as if the shine was deliberately toned down (photos are in bright sunlight). Made in the form of a shield, or better yet "coat of arms", with fabulous matching design on all sides leading up to scroll form corners, and a spectacular ribbon form "bow tie" cartouche. It is in good condition, light age / use wear, as it was refinished not long ago. Size is large 38.5" height and 37.5" wide. This baby is ready to hang in any setting, traditional or mid-century modern! less
