It sounds silly, but there was something so... enveloping about the scale, the color, the luxury of those brushstrokes that it made me want to paint forever. This piece is an oversized homage to the master, at least mood-wise. It's huge - 4' x 5' - and done in soft shades of lavender, green, blue, gray and pink acrylics. It's somehow vibrant and soothing at the same time, thanks to the many layers of color. The painting would work well in a variety of settings, from bedroom to living room to office, and would look great against almost any color scheme, thanks to the many little bits of color woven into the overall image. The painting is also loaded with texture, including purposeful scrape and rub marks, providing a beautiful layered look and adding another level of interest to the surface. The canvas is extremely heavy-duty, and the image continues around the stretcher bars, so the edges are completely finished. No need to frame (unless you prefer a framed look). less
