These director’s style chairs are part of the “Oriental Hardwood” Special Collection, numbered in their catalog OH-10FG Oak X-Chair by McGuire of San Francisco. They feature beautiful honey-colored oak wood construction, olive green leather seats & backrests, rawhide leather lashings and all brass hardware. Representing the epitome of quiet luxury, these chairs are ready to be enjoyed as-is or have the leather seats replaced with a new chic hide of your color preference!
These are a very early example of McGuire’s X chairs, and predate the iconic brass makers tag, so they’re unmarked. They did have the attached upholstery tags by McGuire, the original owner removed them. These chairs also fold for easy transport by simply removing the leather backrest & brass back support and unlatching the bottom brass fitting.

Chairs will arrive dismantled, in 2 boxes. The reassembly is very easy by unfolding frame, reattaching the brass backrest bar into the oak frame, sliding the top leather backrest on and relatching the bottom brass fitting into place. less
