Whimsical Santa Claus on a Reindeer. Very charming. Santa's eyes & buckle are inlaid brass and as well as the reindeer antlers, tail & eyes. I LOVE this tray.
The Couroc Company was founded by Guthrie Courvoisier and his wife Moira Wallace, who was an artist, in 1948. They designed and made thousands of trays, bowls & accessories which were hand inlaid by master craftsmen using shells, coins, woods & metals. Each piece is one of a kind. Sadly, Couroc stopped production of these beautiful trays in 1998.
One of the company's advertisement states "Any tray can serve a drink. Only Couroc can start a conversation." Still true to this day!
