This is a drawing from life by J. Comba to illustrate “Los Viernes en el Circo Price” in Madrid, in 1880, the date on which the Circo Price was moved to the Plaza del Rey. It is part of one of the many illustrations that he made since he began creating his work in the magazine “La Illustration Española e Americana”.

He accompanied King Alfonso Restoration".

Magnificent drawing, unique, since the ones found are clippings from the magazine and published in black and white. It is very strong cardstock, and has never been folded or rolled.

Its condition is very good for its age, from the back you can see how it had cellophane at some point, and it has a small tear of which a photograph has been taken from the back and front (last two photos).

Size: 37.5 x 27.5 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
