Unlike many similar pieces of furniture, it is not made of veneered board, but of solid oak boards 2 cm thick, which makes it extremely solid and heavy. All glass windows in the display case are in their original condition - crystal glass, hand-milled with floral patterns (we bought the piece of furniture from a gentleman who told us that his grandparents received this piece of furniture as a wedding gift - that's probably why there are so many window decorations, as well as durability and solidity). The credenz is about 80 years old, has been fully renovated and is ready to serve for another tens or even hundreds of years\.
