Gainey Ceramics was a Southern California-based company (La Verne, CA,) recognized for glazed planters and decorative pottery that add natural sophistication to both interior and exterior spaces. This über-mod, smooth-glazed ceramic pot from the 1960s brings mid century sophistication whether outdoors or indoors.
This is a very heavy planter. Marking on one pot shows Gainey Ceramics Laverne Calif, AC-16. Please see pictures. Note hairline crack on the outside but does not go through the inside of the pot. One pot also has a chip on the upper lip of the pot.
