Vintage painting titled "Solo" by Italian artist Louis Bosa (1905-1981). Oil painting on Masonite panel presented in the original frame when purchased from The Milch Gallery on 67th St., NYC. Old label affixed to the backing. Possibly a scene from Venice of a man playing an instrument. Beautifully presented in a rustic distressed wood frame with linen wrapped border frame.

Louis Bosa emigrated to the US at 18 after studying art in Venice. Bosa's paintings are known for people and street scenes - he was an acute observer of the human condition. His works have been on display in many museums throughout the United States. less
