One tray has blocks at the back side and one does not (the blocks are useful to keep the tray from sliding on top of the table), please see photograph 10. The tables are painted white but appear to have been a spring green at one time. This is only noticeable on the back side of the trays and under the base of the elephants, please see photographs 10 and 11. One elephant appears to have a repair at the top of one ear which can be seen in photograph 12. less

A pair of C.1970 painted white wicker tables in the form of whimsical elephants toting separate oval serving trays. This design is often attributed to Mario Lopez Torres and it indeed has both the quality structure and playful style of his famous wicker animals. Perfect for a Palm Beach style decor and versatile for use as a side tables or serving pieces.
Good condition with some signs of age and wear though nothing objectionable. One tray has blocks at the back side and one does not (the blocks are useful to keep the tray from sliding on top of the table), please see photograph 10. The tables are painted white but appear to have been a spring green at one time. With tray, each elephant table measures 25" from front to back x 22" tall x 16" deep. Each tray measures 24" long x 16" wide x 2" tall. Each elephant without tray measures 23" front to back x 20" tall x 11" deep. less
