This rare and highly desirable 9" Robbins & Myers Desk Fan features a distinctive 5-wing brass blade and guard. Among the 9" R&M models, this is the most desirable and uncommon example. Robbins & Myers made a bold statement by using the larger cage badge from their 12" and 16" fans on this smaller 9" model. The brass guard on this fan stands out far more than the later painted steel versions. With its larger logo badge and 5-wing blade, the fan resembles a brass flower when viewed head-on.
This fan displays its beautiful original finish, retains some of its original pinstripes, and still has its original speed indicator numbering. The cage and blade are original and have been polished over time. We have carefully disassembled and serviced this example. It runs well, oscillates on three distinct speeds, and can be wall mounted. This is a top shelf example for collectors, this fan operates well, although it does run warm. It also has some chipping in the paint as displayed in the photos.
