Called a Gentleman's chair because of its higher back, this handsome piece is part of a living room set purchased in the 1920's by my great Aunt Rose in the Bay Area of Brooklyn. It is sturdy and comfortable. If you thump on the bottom underneath the seat the springs will "ring" indicating their tightness.
Regretfully there is simply not enough room after a recent downsizing. This chair has a matching upholstery chair with a smaller back and a three-seater sofa. Set is being listed separately as required by the listing company, but entire set is available.
