Luigi Rossini (1790-1857) engraving from 1819 entitled "Interno del Pronao del Tempio di Vesta in Roma". This image is Book Plate 53 from "Antichità Romane", a series of 101 plates published between 1819 and 1823.
Engraved on heavy 19th-century paper, the plate is in excellent condition. It is enclosed in a painted black frame with beveled gilt detail. The image is surrounded by an ivory toned, wide silk matting.
Bottom left:"Rossini dis e inc", to the right "Roma 1819", title in the middle and further down legend "A. tempio della Fortuna virile." "B. Casa di Nicolò di Rienzo."
