Detailed 1929 etching & aquatint depicting Chicago's Dearborn Train Station by artist Morris Henry Hobbs. Dearborn Train Station was where one took the famed Santa Fe Railroad to all parts East and West! This is an edition of 75. Image size: 12" x 8 3/4". Archivally matted to
16" x 20".
Morris Henry Hobbs was born in 1892 in Rockford, Illinois. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and traveled to Etaples, France for further study. He had a one-man show at the Smithsonian in 1936/1937. Hobbs moved to New Orleans in 1938, creating a series of famous French Quarter Etchings. He founded the New Orleans Etcher's Society. Hobbs died in 1967. less
